Charlie is a partner in McCoy Leavitt Laskey’s Maine office and focuses his practice on general liability, products liability, and fire and explosion cases.

He joined the firm in 2023 after spending almost seven years as in-house litigation counsel for a national insurance company, handling both liability and workers’ compensation matters throughout Maine and New Hampshire. Along with the handling of hundreds of depositions, mediations, and arbitrations, he tried many cases to verdict in front of both juries and judges. Prior to this experience, he worked for a multi-state law firm that handled real estate and foreclosure litigation.

Charlie graduated magna cum laude from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst with a degree in business administration and was a member of the Commonwealth Honors College. He graduated cum laude from the University of Maine School of Law where he was a member of the editorial board of the Maine Law Review. During law school, Charlie worked as a student attorney with the Cumberland County District Attorney’s office.

Charlie lives in Scarborough with his wife, two sons, and chocolate labrador mix.
